Undeniably one of Hanlon’s most performed and loved pieces. Driving mixed-metre ostinatos, opulent harmonies and striking melodies combine to make a captivating and emotionally stirring piece. Although the piece is written in Irish, non-native choirs need not worry as the large majority of the text is one word, ‘Molaimis’. A spectacular piece of writing by a composer who has dedicated much of his life to music and choirs. Stunning!
